Ms. Taylor started the cello at age 12 when her Foreign Service family lived in Germany. She graduated from Barnard College with a degree in English and Creative Writing and later obtained a Certificate in Arranging & Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Currently, she performs with the Avanti Orchestra of the Friday Morning Music Club and other orchestral and chamber groups. She is a  freelance editor and writer by occupation.
