Masterworks Festival

Under the direction of Pablo Saelzer, the Avanti Orchestra of the Friday Morning Music Club, in collaboration with Montgomery College, is holding a Masterworks Festival during the week of June 21-27, 2010. The Festival is an opportunity for professional and highly accomplished musicians to come together to study, rehearse, and perform a symphonic masterwork.

Rehearsal Schedule & Information (revised 6/16/10):
Monday, June 21: strings + harp only at 7:30-10 pm

Tuesday, June 22: strings + harp at 7:30-10 pm; woodwinds + horns at 8:45-10 pm

Wednesday, June 23: strings + harp + woodwinds + horns at 7:30-10 pm; Brass and percussion at 8:45-10 pm.

Thursday, June 24: all sections at 7:30-10 pm

Friday, June 25: all sections at 7:30-10 pm

Parking: There is surface parking and a parking garage behind the performance hall. Surface parking: North on Georgia Avenue, turn right onto King St. Proceed past the performance venue (on your left) and take your first left into the surface parking lot. South on Georgia, turn left onto King St. Proceed past the performance venue (on your left) and take your first left into the surface parking lot. Parking Garage: North on Georgia Avenue, turn right onto Jessup Blair Dr. The parking garage entrance will be on your left. The performance hall is just north of the parking garage. South on Georgia, turn left onto Jessup Blair Dr. The parking garage entrance will be on your left. The performance hall is just north of the parking garage.

Women:
Solid colored top (dressy formal top in a single color preferred, need not be black); Black long skirt or slacks; Black shoes.
Men:  Black shirt; No tie; Black pants; Black socks; Black shoes.
